Zona di Salvaguardia della Dora Riparia e Casa dell'Ambiente

The reserved area "Zona di Salvaguardia della Dora Riparia" was established with L.R. n. 16 of 3 August 2011 and includes the territory along the river Dora Riparia in the municipalities of Almese, Alpignano, Avigliana, Buttigliera Alta, Caselette, Collegno, Pianezza, Rivoli, Rosta, S . Gillio, with a surface area of approximately 3437 ha. The area has multiple functions: it aims at the safeguard of environmental, natural and scenic resources, at tourist-recreational enjoyment, as well as at development of agro-forestry production and marketing of farm products. In Collegno, at the edge of the park there is the Environment House, where it is possible to carry on educational activities concerning naturalistic themes.
