Museo Gianduja

Located in a beautiful setting of the seventeen hundreds , the Museo Gianduja (Gianduja Museum) was born to re-visit the Piedmontese traditional disguise, whose history coincides- for the most part – with that of our Risorgimento: from theatre to satirical newspapers, Gianduja provides a historically genuine incarnation of the people, and not a caricature thereof. The exhibition avails itself of material from the collection of the Istituto per i Beni Marionettistici e il Teatro Popolare (Puppetry and Popular Theatre Institute), a unique collection on the subject including marionettes, puppets, backdrops, puppet theatres, scripts, documents, posters, playbills, drawings, original designs, publications, booklets, postcards, antique photographs, and various items.
