Cappella San Rocco (fine XV sec)

Among the most ancient of Grugliasco, the rural Saint Rocco chapel, belonging to the Municipality, is already testified as existing in 1500. In 1599, as a vote for the liberation from the last plague epidemic and after the solemn carriage from Turin to Grugliasco of a wooden statue representing Saint Rocco, the chapel was presumably restructured by the community expenses. The actual chapel aspect is the fruit of the restructuring performed among 1826 and 1828 on project of the archiìtect Ignazio Michela.
