The route Eurovelo 8, is dedicated to the exploration of the northern Mediterranean coast, with 5,900 kilometers of cycle route from Cadiz, in Spain, up to Cyprus, passing through France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Erzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Greece.

In Piedmont EuroVelo 8 passes through the areas of Cuneo, Turin, Vercelli and Alessandria.
